What Does Permanent/Forever Jewelry Mean? What Does the Zap Mean?

  • It is a bracelet, anklet, necklace or any other jewelry that is custom made to your fit and welded on by our PJ professionals. The “permanent” part refers to the technique used by PJ professionals. The chains are connected by a loop that is welded shut, hence the name “forever jewelry” which describes a never ending connection. It can be taken off by cutting the joining loop with scissors or pliers. PS: we recommend saving the chain so you can bring it back for re-welding.
  • Zap" refers to the flash of light seen when welding takes place.

Will My 14K Gold Filled/925 Sterling Silver Permanent Piece Tarnish?

14K Gold Filled/925 Sterling Silver designs are water resistant and in most cases sweat resistant. However, factors such as body ph and exposure to harsh chemicals can cause your PJ piece to tarnish. If this happens please contact us at support@thepinkswanshop.com with date of purchase, last four digits of your credit card number and your first and last name. Please also attach a photo of the damaged item.

Can My Permanent Jewelry Break?

  • All chains are susceptible to breakage. Due to your permanent jewelry piece being on you daily it is possible to get it caught on, get it tugged on things and more. These situations can cause the chain to break. However, it can be repaired.
  • PLEASE NOTE: Pink Swan will not replace the chain. This is a custom piece made to order for you. Therefore, we can only repair the chain and re-weld it back for you.
  • Breaks due to uneven welds at the initial welding site will be repaired at no cost once inspected by a PJ professional. Breaks anywhere else in the chain away from welded loop will inquire a $10-$20 re-weld fee based on the material of the chain. This is a non-negotiable fee.

How long does permanent jewelry last?

  • Your PJ piece can last for weeks, months, years to come with proper care.
  • Although permanent jewelry is meant for everyday wear, these handmade/hand-welded pieces are still fine jewelry and are not invincible.
  • If your chain breaks pink swan can repair the chain and weld it back for you. A re-weld fee applies to all repairs.
  • Breaks due to uneven welds at the initial welding site will be repaired at no cost. Breaks anywhere in the chain away from the loop will inquire a $10-$20 re-weld fee based on the material of the chain. This is a non-negotiable fee.

Do I need an appointment to get welded?

  • Yes! We highly recommend booking an appointment to ensure your experience is optimal.
  • For a group, please book individual appointments. Please contact us via email/text or instagram and let us know so that we can accommodate your group.
  • Walk-in's are welcome. However, we cannot guarantee an immediate appointment as this depends on welder availability and other bookings.

Does the zap hurt?

  • Not at all! Zapping refers to the flash of light emitted when welding takes place.

Can I get sterling silver chains as a forever bracelet?

  • Yes, absolutely we have a variety of sterling silver chains to choose from for welding. Please be aware hard water, salt water and in some instances chlorine may cause silver to oxidize.

If I have purchased a Gold Filled bracelet from you in the past can I bring that for welding?

  • Absolutely! For a welding fee of $10 we can weld your bracelet for you.

Can I add charms to my forever bracelet?

  • Yes, however, we only recommend Gold Filled charms for our forever bracelets as gold plated charms will eventually loose its plating due to exposure to water, body chemicals, perfumes etc.

Can I pass through TSA with my forever bracelet?

  • Yes! The chains are dainty and have no issues passing through security check.

Can I get my forever bracelet or anklet tighten or loosened at a later date?

  • Yes! For a fee of $10-$20 we can re-size/re-weld after your initial session. If the jewelry needs to be loosened and more chain is needed then there will be an additional charge depending on the length of the chain.

What if my chain breaks?

  • If your chain breaks, please bring it in to our main storefront on Shepherd Dr and a team member will assist you with repairs. Proof of purchase steps will be taken.

What If I loose my chain or charm?

  • Pink Swan is not responsible for lost items. No refunds or credit is provided for lost items. However, If you loose your permanent chain within one week of your session, we provide a 50% discount for a replacement bracelet with proof of receipt. If one week has elapsed, we offer a 10% discount on a replacement chain.
  • Charms: If you loose a charm within 30 days of purchase, we offer a one time replacement of a equal value charm with proof of purchase or receipt. A $10 re-welding service fee applies to each charm. After 30 days have elapsed, we offer a10% discount on a replacement charm.
Note: Without proof of purchase or receipt, we are unable to offer any replacements.

What is my permanent jewelry piece has tarnished?

Note: Permanent Jewelry is non-refundable due to it being a customized piece.
  • Booking an appointment for our Shepherd Dr location is highly recommended in order for us to serve all customers in a timely manner
  • Why book and not just walk-in? Booking an appointment ensures minimal wait time for your party. Walk-in's are accepted on a first come first serve basis and wait times can vary based on appointments or other walk-in's ahead of you.
  • If your group is larger than 2, please book an Appointment to ensure wait time is minimal.
  • Each appointment takes 15-20 minutes from start of check-in to finish, customization with charms can take longer depending on the amount of charms and group size.
  • When you come in-store one of our team members will hand you our check-in tablet and direct you towards our jewelry bar to pick out your chain for welding.
  • Only 14K Solid Gold, 14K White Gold, 14K Gold-filled and Sterling Silver chains can be used for welding a forever bracelet. We do not work with plated jewelry as it will tarnish.
  • Minimum welding age is 10 years. Minors must be accompanied by an adult CANCELLATION POLICY
A $30.00 fee will be charged if appointments are not cancelled 1 day before scheduled time. This is a non-refundable no show/no service policy.

Booking is highly recommended to avoid longer wait times. Please text/call us for walk-in availability
 
Note: We stop taking walk-in's 60 minutes before closing time as we want to provide you with an exceptional permanent jewelry experience and do not want to rush you. Parties larger than 2+, multiple charm selection or multiple permanent items may take our team longer to process as everything is made in house at the time of your visit. Please keep this in mind while planning to walk-in with a larger group.

If you feel that you don't make decisions quickly, or need our consultation on pieces, please consider this and book an appointment or allow yourself plenty of time before our shop closes to walk-in for a service.

Booking Deposit: Is refundable once services are rendered. The deposit is non-refundable when the client fails to show-up for the appointment without notice. This is also a no show, no service fee.

Please contact the shop through phone call to reschedule or cancel your appointment 6 hours prior to your appointment.

We take walk-in's on a first come first serve basis - that means if we have an appointment during the time you walk-in, there might be a wait time. We encourage you to book if you are in a time crunch.

Parties larger than five guests will not be taken as walk-ins. A reservation is REQUIRED.
